I have been tinkering with guitars since 1968 with a bunch of years in between not playing or practicing. The last few years after a studio fire I decided to dig out the old guitar (A $25.00 hoc-shop treasure. Probably an old sears model. It had no label. It is a 12 fret laminated beast. It is no longer playable.) I purchased a few new and better guitars and play a little each day. I haven't got time or the inclination for lessons (with the exception of some I took from a local shop during the pandemic online. I didn't learn much about reading music but, it did help my  playing a bit. I cannot seem to get past the top frets and standard tuning. The rest of the neck is a bit of a mystery, although, I do know some movable chords that I play once in a while, just to try keeping my fingers together while moving down the neck.
